Itinerary:

Day 1: Transfer from San José airport or by arrangement.
Welcome to Costa Rica, the Switzerland of Central America. You will be picked up at the airport and taken to our hotel in Orotina. The desired panniers or side cases will be ready for repacking.

Day 2: After breakfast, the participants are picked up at the hotel and taken to our location in Limonal de Orotina.
There is a briefing about the tour and a first meeting of the group and assignment of the motorcycles. After the formalities, the motorcycles are packed up and off we go.
Our first stage takes us along a beautiful winding road. Here we can try out the motorcycles and get to know them. The route is not demanding and ideal for getting used to the new bikes. We spend the second night near the Pacific beach in Quepos.

Day 3: In Costa Rica it gets light at 5.30 a.m., so we take advantage of this and enjoy a walk along the beach. The Cerro de la Muerto is the highest point in Costa Rica that can be reached by motorcycle. At 3,454 meters, it is also the highest point on the Panamericana. It gets very cold here, so a suitable jacket is recommended. An overnight stay in the mountains of Costa Rica in the Quetzal National Park.

Day 4: Early in the morning we enjoy the twittering of birds and set off on a quetzal tour before breakfast. One of the most famous birds in Costa Rica. We continue to San Marco for a coffee tour. The road takes us through the two volcanoes Irazu and Turrialba. A stop at the foot of Turrialba offers a unique view of two volcanoes at the same time. To the right and to the left. Before it gets dark again at around 5.30 pm, we arrive at our accommodation, Casa Tucan & Camping. After showering, we meet up to go to the restaurant together.

Day 5:It's an early morning for us. After breakfast, we grab our bikes and head for the Caribbean. After the shorter distances so far, the distances are slowly getting longer. A section on the Panamericana gives us that highway feeling. Then it gets more winding again. Beautiful beach roads allow us to immerse ourselves in another world. Jamaican influences characterize the culture on this side of Costa Rica.

Day 6: Breakfast with the sea breeze is a completely different feeling. After breakfast we go to the Jaguar Rescue Center and take part in a 1 1/2 hour guided tour. A short walk along the beach brings us to our local lunch. After a digestive break, we take to the water. A kayak tour with a local guide opens up the rivers of Costa Rica and shows us a different view of the country's animals. Back at the hotel, everyone goes their own way and we meet up again for dinner at the agreed time.

Day 7:Today we continue early in the morning, we have a long drive ahead of us. It's a few kilometers from Puerto Viejo de Limon to Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui.

Â

This route is a true gem of nature and adventure. Located in the heart of the country, this picturesque area is characterized by lush rainforest, majestic rivers and breathtaking scenery.

Day 8: From Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui we drive to the famous Arenal Lake and Arenal Volcano in La Fortuna. On the way we visit the Mariposario Alas del Destino or Frogs Heaven, depending on the weather. Later we enjoy a cocoa tour in the rainforest. Our destination is the Hotel Miradas Arenal in la Fortuna. Here, as the name suggests, the view of the Arenal volcano is wonderful.

Day 9: Today is a quiet day. An early morning tour of the suspension bridges allows us to see the rainforest from a different perspective. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 10: Today we drive a long way along Lake Arenal. Dirt roads, river crossings and streams make this
section an adventure. We spend the night in Santa Elena in Monteverde.

Day 11: After breakfast, we drive over the la Admistad bridge to the Nicoya Peninsula. Known for its beautiful beaches, we stay here for 2 nights and enjoy the beautiful sunsets.

Day 12: Today is dedicated to chilling out. After a 3-hour tour through the Werner Sauter Reserve, the rest of the day is at leisure. Water activities can be fully enjoyed here. We will be happy to help you make a reservation

Day 13: The roads on the south coast of the Nicoya Peninsula lead through breathtaking coastal areas with white sandy beaches, clear blue waters and picturesque fishing villages. The views along the route are spectacular, making the drive a visual treat. This area is known for its relaxed atmosphere and tranquillity. The roads offer the opportunity to get off the beaten track and explore and enjoy nature in its purest form. We spend the night at the Hotel Vista las Islas, which is run by Swiss people.

Day 14: One of Costa Rica's most important ferries connects Paquera with the city of Puntarenas on the mainland. This ferry connection offers a convenient way to reach the mainland without having to make the long journey overland. The crossing offers a picturesque view of the Gulf of Nicoya and the opportunity to observe numerous water birds.

Day 15: The fifteenth day of the tour is the last day for most participants and it's time to say goodbye. We will take you to the airport or to a location of your choice by arrangement.
